Yesterday was scorching too. My boss said it was 95 degrees outside. I don't know though because it was so fucking humid. It felt hotter than that. And the A/C at work broke. And I have no A/C in my car. I had to go out to the bank and get a cashier's check for my boss. It was hot and sweaty and cranky and had a headache when I got back to the office. I had to go to two different banks because apparently at Comerica Bank, you can't get a cashier's check with cash anymore. You have to have the amount taken from your account. And I can't sign on the account at work. And, well, I'm not even going to discuss the amount of construction I have to drive through on a daily basis.
This weekend, Sarah and I also rented some movies. Ned Kelly, Timeline, Wonderland and The Butterfly Effect. They were all pretty good. Timeline was not as bad as I thought it might be. Plus, Paul Walker. You can't go wrong with Paul Walker. :) Ned Kelley I had seen before so I knew I'd like that one. But Sarah hadn't seen it so I made her watch it. Wonderland was interesting because I've heard of the Wonderland murders before, but it happened in '81 and I was only 5 years old, so I don't really know much about it. Also, I am surprised how many people I know that have never heard of John Holmes. I thought everyone knew who he was. And people who say Kate Bosworth can't act should watch Wonderland. I have never seen Blue Crush, which seems to be the movie everyone talks about when saying that. But I have seen Win A Date With Tad Hamilton, and now Wonderland. I thought she was good in both. I also remember her from the TV show Young Americans. The poor girl gets a raw deal just because she's dating Orlando Bloom. I'd like to see her in more stuff.
And now I'm going to work and hoping that the A/C is fixed. At least it's not 95 today.
I so need to buy Just A Geek
