I swear, if you're gonna be on TV (even if it is MTV) you should learn to speak properly. He just bugs the hell out of me.

Yes...he always sounds like he's screaming, which is really annoying. But I imagine a lot people like him because he's black and "authentic" or something like that. Not really authentic, but you know what I'm saying? Representin'.

You know who is good? Quddus (or however you spell it). Most of the male vj's are really annoying, but he is refreshingly sincere. Or, at least, I think so.

Although, I'm tired of crazy vj names. I want someone name David or Josh.

Well, to me he sounds like he's "Representin'" ignorant people. Not to offend anyone, but, if you're gonna be on TV (even if it is MTV) learn to speak english. I really can't even discuss how much I hate that without spending an hour on it. Or without sounding racist, I'm afraid. But, the black people I know don't talk like that. And, it just sounds ignorant to me.

But. Yes. Quddus (I don't know how to spell it either) is cool. He's not on nearly enough though. Maybe they should have him do Sway's stuff. :) hehehe And even the VJ's with "normal" names are not al that normal. Carson. and Gideon. Of course there is Brian (Bryan?). Who happens to be my favorite. Even Iann Robinson spells his name with 2 n's. But then he's another one I wouldn't be sorry to see go. It might be partailly due to that fact that he refuses to even admit that NSYNC might be a little cool. :) But that's enought rambling about MTV VJ's. geez. I can't believe I can actually have a whole conversation about this. scary. :)

No no. I'm totally with you on the Sway issue. It's just that I can imagine one of my friends saying how great it is to have a black man on MTV and me thinking "Yeah, but he really sucks." I imagine there are other people out there who think he is "representin'," and praise him simply because he is black, not because he can do his job well by any means.

In my head this is all very caustic - that probably doesn't translate well into the lj :). But, being part black, I don't want Sway representin' anything for me. Or, really, anyone else, but that's an entire other rant for an entire other day.

And Brian McFayden! I had forgotten about him. He had nice arms. Mmm.
