My sister and her husband got here today. He's in the Navy. My parents are in the Air Force. Guess what most of the conversations are about. I don't understand half the stuff they're saying. And my other sister is coming in on Thursday. She's in the Army. Oh joy.

Hey there's nothing wrong with military people. ;)

I can understand where it would be confusing if it wasn't something that you were a part of or if they are competitive about it.

My dad was in the Air Force and I'm in the Army. We've never really had a problem with it.

Re:
yeah, they're not competitive about it but they tell stories and they use military terms and acronyms and I have to ask what everything is. I'm the only one in my family who isn't really involved in the military (unless you count my sister who only knows everything because her husband is in the Navy). It doesn't really bother me that much, it just sucks being the one who always has to ask what everything is. :)
